Kirk Air got it's beginning in the early 1960's at Sandia National Laboratories with the invention of Laminar air flow and its practical application in the form of cleanrooms and clean benches. This important breakthrough in clean air technology yielded widespread success at Sandia National Laboratories and elsewhere. This technology brought about an immediate demand for qualified service technicians. As a contractor employee, Norman Kirk recognized this need and helped build and test the very first cleanroom units in New Mexico. He established Kirk Air in 1972 and became committed to providing cleanroom testing and service. Marc Schneider, the current CEO, continues this tradition of quality service and reliability.
